Jammu, June 30: Four top Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (Huji) militants including its 'supreme commander' Mohammad Amin, who were arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police yesterday, had carried out a thorough recee of important installations in New Delhi during a 19-day trip to different places in the country, top police sources said here today. During preliminary interrogation, the four - Amin alias Nazir Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed (area commander), Abdul Hamid (Tehsil commander) and Farooq Ahmed - admitted to had been in Delhi where they had carried out "full recee" of vital installations and public places, the sources told.
They also visited Chandigarh and some parts of Punjab during their trip to build up Huji modules in different parts of the country, the sources said.
Full information about their activities would be shared with other agencies and police forces across India, particularly Delhi, once the interrogation of the ultras was complete, they said.
The four Huji ultras were arrested at Basholi Morh in Kathua district, 95 kms from here last evening, from a truck coming from Punjab to Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian currency worth Rs 8,50,000, one Chinese pistol, some documents, two Russian binoculars, two grenades and two fake identity cards were recovered from them, the sources said.
Amin has received arms training in Afghanistan. Bureau Report
