Hyderabad, May 12: Congress’ coalition partner Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) today came out with a shocker. It said that it was open to the idea of supporting NDA if it concedes to creating a separate state of Telangana. TRS chief Chandrashekhar Rao said if Congress fails to support the Telangana issue he has no hesitation in joining NDA to fulfill the dream of a separate state.
TRS is today convening its legislature party meeting to decide future course of action. Congress and TRS have jointly fought elections against TDP in the state to remarkable results. Though the Congress has so far avoided making any straight statement on carving out of a new state, it has stated that a reorganisation committee should be formed to facilitate the formation of Telangana state.
