Lucknow, Jan 16: The departmental probe into the Taj heritage corridor case has taken a curious turn with two members of the probe team submitting separate reports to the state government. Chief Secretary V K Diwan was not available for comments, but a senior official in his office said that the two members of the probe team comprising chairman, board of revenue A K Rastogi and agriculture production commissioner V K Mittal, have submitted separate reports.
The two differed on various charges against four senior officials, said the official who added that both of them have submitted voluminous reports separately to the Chief Secretary.
The officials who were charged with dereliction of duty in the case included former Chief Secretary of the state D S Bagga, former Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Panna Lal Punia, former Principal Secretary Environment R K Sharma and former Secretary, Environment V K Gupta.
All the four officials were suspended and the state government had ordered a probe into the Rs 175 crore case. Bureau Report
