Srinagar, July 30: Punjab National Bank has become the first public sector bank to install an ATM in Kashmir. An army jawan inaugurated the ATM in the bank's Badamibagh cantonment branch.

Three more ATMs would be installed in the city branches of the bank at Lal Chowk, Dal Gate and Zadibal soon, PNB general manager Harwant Singh said.
He said the bank was fast executing its planned project of interconnecting all the branches in the valley besides connecting the two branches of Amirakadal and Badamibagh with the national network for any time and any where banking.
The bank has 23 branches in Kashmir Valley. Of these 10 have been computerised and the remaining would be computerised in a phased manner soon, he added. Bureau Report
