Panaji, May 13: As many as 10,000 students in Goa will be provided with computers under the popular 'cyberage students scheme' this year to make them tech-savvy as against 3,500 last year. Disclosing this at a programme organised by Anjuman Islahul Muslameen at Margao yesterday, power minister Digambar Kamat said the benefit of the scheme hitherto confined to the 11th class science students would be extended to the arts and commerce students also.

The government had been sparing no effort to promote education through various schemes, including provision of grants for school infrastructure and interest-free loans to students to pursue higher studies, he added. Bureau Report
