Ferrari's world motor racing champion Michael Schumacher stressed that he had no plans to retire, contradicting claims that the recent US terror attacks had made him think of quitting. “I think I have already made my position clear on this issue,” said Schumacher to journalists during a pause in Formula One testing.

“At Monza, I had some difficult moments but all I needed was to return home and see my family to understand that life must go on.”
“I want to carry on driving and I enjoy doing that.”

Schumacher was pleased that on Wednesday he set a track record for the Fiorano track used by Ferrari at their Maranello base, laying the credit to new technical improvements including a new gearbox. Bureau Report
