Washington, Feb 16: Ignoring the mounting protests at home and abroad and the opinion of the UN Security Council against any US-led campaign on Iraq, President George W Bush is reportedly going ahead with his plans to topple the Saddam Hussien regime if he refuses to go voluntarily.

According to present plan, reports CNN, the US and Britain will present a resolution to the Security Council stating that Saddam Hussein is again in "material breach" of the Council resolution and would serve an ultimatum to disarm within two weeks.
At the end of the two weeks, us troops would march into Iraq from the Arab bases in the south and from the Turkish bases in the north.
Meanwhile, anti-war sentiments were mounting worldwide as millions of people rallied in different parts of the globe in support of giving more time to the weapons inspectors.
US public now are of the view that Hans Blix and his team should be given more time and the issue should be resolved peacefully, as argued by Blix in the Security Council with the support of France, China, Russia, Germany and others.
