New Delhi, Nov 05: BJP today termed as "disturbing" the PDP-Congress coalition government's decision not to impose Pota in Jammu and Kashmir and called upon the state government to clarify if it would take action against members of banned organisations or not. "The Common Minimum Programme of Congress-PDP government is disturbing. The decision not to use Pota in the state which is disturbed by terrorists is a terrorist friendly decision," party spokesman Arun Jaitley told reporters here.

He said the power to use Pota and ban organisations vests with the Centre and it has banned several terrorist organisations like Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET) under Pota and those providing funds and support to these organisations are required to be arrested under Pota. "If a state government chooses not to impose Pota then it must answer whether it will or will not take action against members of those banned organisations or not. Will LET and Hizbul terrorists be free to carry on their activities without fear of arrest?" he asked.
