Colombo, Nov 19: Sri Lanka`s Parliament resumed sessions today after a two-week suspension ordered by a hostile president who sacked three ministers plunging the country in a political crisis, an official said.

country in a political crisis, an official said.
Speaker Joseph Michael Perera announced the
reconvening of the 225-member assembly at 10:00 am, a
parliamentary official said.
President Chandrika Kumaratunga had suspended the
assembly until today after her sweeping action against the
government of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on November
four.
