Lucknow, May 27: Uncertainty appeared to prevail in the RLD over the issue of withdrawal of its ministers from the Mayawati-led coalition government in Uttar Pradesh with party vice-president Rameshwar Singh saying a decision regarding it will be taken in the next four to five days. After party president Ajit Singh quit the Union Cabinet last week it was announced that RLD ministers in U P were resigning.
"A decision regarding the resignations of the five RLD ministers from the Mayawati government would be taken in the next four-five days", Singh told reporters here.
He said RLD was keeping all options open and was in no hurry to decide about leaving or remaining in the Mayawati government.
"We do not want to take any decision in haste... the political situation in the state is fluid. We are forced to keep all options open", Singh said.
RLD would decide about continuing in the Mayawati government after deliberations with office bearers in the next few days, Singh said.
The opposition in the state was not united nor was the relationship between BJP and BSP cordial, the RLD leader said.
He also did not rule out possibility of the party joining hands with Samajwadi Party.
Singh dismissed a split in RLD's legislature group saying all 13 MLAs were firmly behind Ajit Singh.
However, apparently fearing poaching, nine party MLAs led by Ajit Singh, have been put up at a hotel in Bhopal under tight security. Bureau Report
