Dehradun, Oct 29: Uttaranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari today said Titan Industries limited should manufacture one crore watches instead of its earlier target of 30 lakhs by establishing two assembling and one production centers in the state. "We would have to adopt ultra modern work culture to meet the competition of the 21st century industrial scenario," he said adding the government will provide all facilities in this regard.
"Titan Industries limited has set an example by conducting substantial expansion taking full advantage of the concessions given by the Uttaranchal government, he said inaugurating an assembly plant of the company here.
He said by establishing industries in Uttaranchal, the scope of employment will increase and other industries will be encouraged, adding "the new industrial policy gives lots of incentives to entrepreneurs and they should make use of it."
"We are encouraging employment oriented training and education. High value and low volume industries are required in hill areas. Industrial development in Dehradun should be done on the pattern of green, orange and red zones, which will ensure conservation of environment," he added.
