Chembai music fete begins
Guruvayur, Nov 19: Fortnight-long Chembai Music Festival held every year as part of the Ekadasi Festival of the Guruvayur Sri Krishna temple began today.

the Guruvayur Sri Krishna temple began today.
Eminent classical vocalists and instrumentalists would be
performing in the event to be culminated on the Ekadasi day on
December 4.
State culture minister G Karthikeyan inaugurated the event, followed by violin concert by Ganesh and Kumaresh.
The festival is named after Carnatic maestro Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, who was a great devotee of Lord Guruvayurappan. Bureau Report
