Lucknow, Feb 06: The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a cruise package on River Yamuna at Allahabad to attract tourists in the holy town. State Tourism Minister Naresh Agarwal inaugurated the project at Saraswati Ghat on the banks of Yamuna in Allahabad yesterday.
Talking to mediapersons here before leaving for Allahabad, Agarwal said a 30-seater cruise would provide tourists the opportunity to have a glimpse of historical and religious places situated on the banks of Yamuna.
The minister announced that a similar cruise service between Varanasi and Mirzapur would commence by the end of this month.
The cruise package tour of two hours at Allahabad would be operated by private players. The tourists would be served with snacks and refreshments during the tour. Bureau Report
