New Delhi, Oct 07: NSCN(IM)today demanded the immediate release of 13 of its activists who were arrested by the Manipur Police from the state's Senapati district and said the action was violative of the ceasefire. A statement issued by the convenor of the NSCN(IM) steering committee, V S Atem charged the Manipur Police with abducting its activists last evening.

" This is a deliberate attempt to sabotage the Indo-Naga peace process which has now embarked on a crucial stage," he said demanding the release of the activists. Gen. Atem said that failure to comply with the NSCN request shall be deemed as refusal to see reason and the fall-out of this incident shall rest on the shoulders of the Manipur government.
