BSP withdraws nominee against Cong minister, puts up against BJP leader
Raipur, Nov 07: Indicative of the tacit understanding between ruling Congress and BSP in Chattisgarh Assembly polls, Bahujan Samaj Party today withdrew their candidate against a key minister and announced it would field a candidate against a senior BJP leader of the state.

Ambika Sahu's name was announced by BSP on November 02 from
Saja Assembly segment in Durg district but since she proved
"ineffective" it has now been decided to withdraw her
from fray there, BSP national general secretary Narendra
Kashyap told reporters here.
The BSP's decision to withdraw its nominee sets the stage for a straight contest in Saja between four-time Congress MLA and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rabindra Choubey and Deepak Sahu, son of Durg MP and former state BJP chief Tarachand Sahu, for the December one poll.
