Sultanpur, July 12: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today suspended the district magistrate and two other senior officials of Sultanpur for slow pace of development in the district. Mayawati, who made an on-the-spot inspection of an Ambedkar village in Lambua, suspended the DM Ram Kumar, chief development officer Ashok Kumar and panchayati raj officer R K Shahi.

She found the pace of development in the district slow and not upto the mark, officials said.


The Chief Minister, however, praised Superintendent of Police Nilesh Kumar for the law and order situation in the district.
