ISRO develops cryogenic sampler to detect micro-organisms
New Delhi, May 30: With an aim to study micro-organisms and their space incidence, the Indian Space Research Organisation has developed a balloon-borne cryogenic sampler.
New Delhi, May 30: With an aim to study micro-organisms and their space incidence, the Indian Space Research Organisation has developed a balloon-borne cryogenic sampler.
The sampler is currently being used to detect livingmicro-organisms at stratospheric heights upto 41 kilometers, an official release said here today.
A group of scientists from ISRO, Indian astronomical institutes and British universities are involved in analysing the samples for the presence of micro-organisms in them and investigating their actions, it said.
