Phnom Penh, Feb 10: Two bodyguards died in a shooting at Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen's residence in the capital but the incident will not be investigated by police, local media reported today.
The English-language Cambodia Daily reported the incident took place during an argument between two of the premier's bodyguards. One of the men shot the other bodyguard with an AK-47 rifle and then killed himself Saturday night, leaving blood smeared across the entrance to the residence, the report said. ''They were dead but the police are not allowed to make a report,'' Phorn Pen, chief of Phnom Penh's Daun Penh district told the daily. Hun Sen reportedly was not at his Phnom Penh residence at the time of the shooting. Government spokesmen have refused to comment on the deaths or lack of investigation. Bureau Report
