Srinagar, Nov 03: Two militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit surrendered before security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir today. The HM militants gave themselves up along with their weapons, which included two ak rifles, two magazines and a wireless set, a police spokesman said here. The surrender comes a day after five ultras of two extremist outfits gave themselves up in south Kashmir. Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, during a public rally in Pulwama on Saturday, had appealed to militants to lay down their arms and return to their homes to lead a dignified life. He said a rehabilitation programme for the welfare of these youths (militants) was being formulated. Bureau Report
