New York, Sept 21: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's meeting with the U S President George W Bush has been rescheduled for September 24, Indian Embassy officials said. Earlier, the bilateral meeting between the two leaders was scheduled on September 23.
The rescheduling was necessary because of the tight schedule of Mr Bush as several heads of states visiting New York to attend the U N General Assembly wanted to call on the U S President.
U S officials informed the Indian Embassy officials here of the new schedule today, a day after the Indian Prime Minister arrived here.
Mr Vajpayee, who arrived here yesterday, spent a quiet day today with his family members. He will address a meeting of the Indian community here this evening.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the U N General Assembly session on September 25.
