Union Ministers L K Advani, Jaswant Singh, Murasoli Maran and Sushma Swaraj reached in Agra this morning to prepare the ground for the crucial talks between Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf at Jaypee Palace Hotel. Home Minister Advani, External Affairs Minister Singh and Commerce Minister Maran form part of the Indian delegation led by the Prime Minister to hold talks with the Pakistani delegation led by President Musharraf.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Swaraj has come to oversee the preparations regarding media arrangements.
Foreign Secretary Chokila Iyer and Home Secretary Kamal Pandey also arrived this morning and will participate in the talks. Musharraf is expected to reach Kheria Airport, eight km from his hotel - Amar Vilas, at around 0945 hours, commissioner S N Jha said and added the visiting dignitary would be received at the airport by Uttar Pradesh Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri, Chief Minister Rajnath Singh and air officer commanding of the Agra Air Force base.
The Indo-Pak talks, scheduled to begin at the summit pavilion in Palace Hotel - half a kilometer away from Amar Vilas - at 1130 hours, are likely to revolve around Kashmir, terrorism and bilateral trade.
