Lucknow, Feb 07: Leader of Opposition in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Mohammed Azam Khan today gave a notice of no-confidence against Speaker Kesri Nath Tripathi. Khan alleged that "the way the speaker gave recognition to the Akhil Bharatiya Congress Dal (ABCD), the break-away group of Congress Legislature Party, as a new party was unconstitutional." On previous occasions also, Tripathi had acted in an "arbitrary manner bringing disgrace to the House", he alleged, adding therefore, the Samajwadi Party has decided to bring a no-trust motion against the speaker.
He also claimed that the motion was being supported like-minded MLAs from the opposition and treasury benches. Meanwhile, Tripathi said he was ready to face the no-confidence motion and dismissed the charges levelled against him as biased. Bureau Report
