"Jess really wants to get back into acting. She's been taking lessons for more than a year, and though she's been meeting with producers, no offers have come in. So she's taking matters into her own hands," an insider said. The 35-year-old star, who played Daisy Duke in the 2005 film remake of US TV series 'The Dukes of Hazzard', is said to be planning to bankroll the sitcom herself and could even get her former NFL husband on board as a producer. "She'll put him to work. Jess wants to capitalise on her dumb blonde image rather than play against it," the source
added.

Simpson has also starred in 2006 movie 'Employee of the Month' and 'Blonde Ambition'.
