Mumbai, Oct 30: The Indian cricket team's acting captian Rahul Dravid on Wednesday said that Sourav Ganguly, recovering from an operation in Kolkata, is the right person to lead the team. Dravid told reporters at the launch of the Nirmal Lifestyles' Rahul Dravid cricket scholarship that "my tenure as the Indian captain is just temporary and once Sourav is fully fit, I will hand over the reins to him as he is the right person to lead the side".

Speaking about the scholarship, Dravid, who is here to lead the Indian team in their crucial one-dayer in the ongoing Tri-series against the Aussies, said he would be picking five talented youngsters in the age group of under-14 and under-16 in the next two to three months and try to nurture them for future.

"Most of the young talents in the country do not have financial backup and our idea is to provide not only the financial aspect but also to guide them to become fine sportsmen and good human beings. We will act as their (young cricketers) friend, guide and philosopher", he added.
Nirmal Lifestyles chief Dharmesh Jain said Indian cricketing expertise is a topic much written about, respected, discussed and analysed globally and a cricketer is a role model for younger generation and hence we picked Rahul Dravid to guide the youngsters.

"The need of the hour is to tap the potential within the youth and we will put maximum efforts towards boosting energy and spirit of sportsmanship in every upcoming cricketer", he added.
