Los Angeles: Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar delivered a special performance of "These Walls" from his latest album "To Pimp a Butterfly" on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

Lamar, 27, talked about the honour he received from the state of California for being a positive icon said it means everything to him, reported Aceshowbiz.


"I know there's a lot of kids in my neighbourhood that's watching TV and saying,'You know what? I want to be a positive influence just like Kendrick Lamar,' or whoever is out there doing something for the good," the rapper said.


Lamar also discussed his friendship with country singer and pop diva Taylor Swift. Both worked together on a new version of the songbird's "Bad Blood".
