Guwahati, June 24: The CRPF is carrying out intensive round the clock patrolling in sensitive areas of Guwahati city to maintain law and order and peaceful completion of various functions, the commandant of the 122 Battalion R G R Bhat said here today. A strict vigil is maintained in all the strategic areas of the city, Bhat added.

CRPF is deployed in Guwahati city for counter-insurgency operations, law and order, VIP duties and guarding of vital and important places like Raj Bhavan, Janata Bhavan, Reserve Bank of India and others, Bhat said in a release here. Bureau Report
