New Delhi, Sept 08: The Supreme Court today issued notices to Gujarat government, its home department and Dahod district Superintendent of Police on a petition filed by a woman from a minority community alleging that police had closed a case pertaining to her rape during the riots in the aftermath of Godhra incident. A bench comprising Justice S Rajendra Babu and Justice G P Mathur issued the notices on the petition filed by Bilkis Yakub Rasool alleging that police had filed closure report before Limkheda magistrate on technical grounds that her statements were contradictory.
