Srinagar, Nov 13: Criticising the 'healing touch'
policy of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as a total failure, former
chief minister Ghulam Mohammad Shah today said the incumbent
Chief Minister should stop misleading the people on resolution
of Kashmir issue with "deceptive slogans".
Pointing out that Sayeed and the Centre are making
diverse statements on Kashmir, Shah said "Centre wants
dialogue within the framework of Indian constitution whereas
the CM talks about unconditional dialogue and joint Indo-Pak
sovereignity (on Kashmir)."
On the recent remarks of Sayeed during an interview that he had a plan for the resolution of Kashmir issue, Shah, who is the president of Awami National Conference, said he should make his plans known to all concerned parties.
"If it suits the people of Jammu and Kashmir, then India, Pakistan and the separatists need not waste time to resolve Kashmir problem."
He said Sayeed should come out clearly whether he considered Jammu and Kashmir a 'disputed territory' or an integral part of India.
"If Mufti considers J&K as integral part of India, then what is he going to solve between India and Pakistan?" he questioned.
He said the advent of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to chief ministers chair saw people being misled by the hoax slogan that bullet will be answered by dialogue.
