Anticipatory bail pleas of Mehndi brothers` wives adjourned
Patiala, Oct 18: A local court today adjourned till October 22 the hearing on anticipatory bail applications moved by wives of Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher Singh in connection with a case of alleged human trafficking.

Additional Sessions Judge K C Puri, after hearing
arguments, adjourned the hearing on the bail applications till
October 22.
Shamsher, who was to be produced in a court here at the
end of his police remand, was not brought even by around 6 pm.
He is expected to be produced later in the night, police
sources said.
The case was registered against Mehndi brothers and
others after one Bakshish Singh, a resident of Belwara village
in the district, alleged that he had paid Rs 13 lakh out of
the Rs 15 lakh demanded by them for sending him abroad in a
musical troupe, which was not done.
