Hearing in Sukhbir Badal`s defamation case fixed for Dec 5
Chandigarh, Oct 28: A local court today fixed December 5 as the next date of hearing in a defamation case filed by Shiromani Akali Dal leader and MP Sukhbir Singh Badal against Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

The court fixed new date as the judge was on leave. Sukhbir, son of SAD chief and former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, was present in the court.
Sukhbir had alleged on august 11 that Amarinder had published false reports about assets and properties owned by him prior to the general polls.
In a similar case filed by his father, the court granted bail to Amarinder on October 22 and fixed December 3 as next date of hearing.

The Badals have sought damages of Rs five crore charging that Amarinder had defamed their family through letters and advertisements in media prior to taking over as chief minister alleging that they (Badal's) owned assets worth Rs 3,500 crore, including those in Australia, USA and Switzerland.
