New Delhi, Jan 08: Leaders of major Naga insurgent group NSCN (I-M) are to arrive here today for crucial peace talks with the Government, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani said on Wednesday.
The visit of NSCN (I-M) Chairman Isak Chisi Swu and its General Secretary Thuingaleng Muivah, who were expected here in December end, had been postponed till the end of first week of January because of "logistical reasons" including availability of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, official sources said.
They said the two Naga leaders, who would be coming here from Europe, would be given Indian travel documents. This would be their first visit to India in last 30 years for negotiations to resolve the decades-old Naga insurgency problem.
While Muivah, who already has an Indian passport, is expected to arrive from The Hague, Swu and three others have been issued passports by the Indian mission in Oslo and will arrive here from the Norwegian capital, they said.
