Islamabad, Aug 09: Pakistan's leader will travel to the United States next month to attend a UN General Assembly session, a foreign ministry spokesman said today. President Pervez Musharraf will address the 58th general assembly session on Sept 24, Masood Khan told.
Musharraf, who made Pakistan a key ally of the United States in the war on terror after the Sept 11 attacks, will also meet with other world leaders in New York, said Khan, who gave no other details.
Musharraf's last US visit was in June when he met with US President George W Bush at the American presidential retreat in Camp David, Maryland.
