New Delhi, Aug 06: Congress and BJP members clashed in the Rajya Sabha today following charges by ruling party members that the report of the public accounts committee on Army procurement for Kargil conflict had been leaked to electronic media before it was laid in the House. BJP member S S Ahluwalia raised the issue soon after Congress member Santosh Bagrodia tabled the 54th report of the PAC on CAG relating to "review of procurement for operation Vijay (army)".

Ahluwalia, who was supported by his party colleagues, claimed the report was leaked yesterday itself. This was strongly countered by Congress members, led by Suresh Pachouri, but nothing was audible in the din. Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat assured the members that he would examine the issue and would take action as per rules.
