Problems in party will be sorted out by December: Antony

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 09: Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony today stated that by the help of Congress central
leadership the problems in the party in the state would be
amicably settled by the first week of next month.
"No one needs to entertain the hope that the Congress in
the state is going to split. The CPI-M's dream of returning to
power through the back door is not going to materialise,"
Antony said on his return from Delhi after discussions with
the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
He said the Congress had faced graver crises over the years, but the party had gone ahead, solving the problems. This time too, the high command would find "a just and amicable" solution, he said.
Rejecting the LDF contention that the UDF partners had lost faith in him, Antony said he "welcomed" the partners initiatives for getting the problems sorted out, as they were meant to keep the UDF intact.
He said the UDF would go ahead strong as the political necessity out of which it evolved was still very relevant in the state.
Antony, however, skipped a question as to who was going to make sacrifices to get the problems solved.
Instead, "the problems will be solved and in the end, the CPI-M is going to be severely disappointed," he said.
