Jammu, Nov 03: Blaming Pakistan for blocking the Indo-Pak peace process, the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed today turned down any role for United Nations in the state and said that Pakistan should act positively to facilitate interaction of people on two sides of the border. Pakistan is blocking the Indian government's proposed Indo-Pak 12-point programme by asking for United Nations (UN) deployment at proposed border check points and issuing of documents by them, Sayeed told reporters soon after the re-opening of bi-annual darbar move of Civil Secretariat amid tight security.

People of J&K want peace and end to bloodshed and those living in Pakistani occupied Kashmir (PoK) also want greater interaction between people on the two sides of the border, the Chief Minister said. So the Pakistan government has to be responsive to the urges and aspirations of the people of PoK, he said and added that it should also take steps in initiating the process of re-opening ways between two sides for people-to-people inter-action.
