Pakistan on Monday said that the Taliban rulers in Afghanistan should take an immediate decision in its stand-off with the United States on the issue of handing over Saudi-born terror mastermind Osama bin Laden viewed by Washington as the prime suspect behind last week's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. For the people of Afghanistan and for us in Pakistan, an immediate decision should be made because we will be the target of influx of refugees and we will bear the burden for the sake of people of Afghanistan, foreign minister Abdul Sattar said. Stating that time is of essence, he said the US felt very deeply hurt and that it did not have patience for argument.
Sattar said the Taliban should take a decision keeping in mind the interests of Afghan people and government.
