No violence in Gujarat, night curfew continues
Peace and normalcy was on a comeback trail in violence-ravaged Gujarat with no untoward incident reported from anywhere in the state for the sixth consecutive day on Sunday even as night curfew continued at many places as a precautionary measure.

In the worst-hit Ahmedabad city, night curfew was in force at Danilimda, Gaekwad Haveli, Kalupur, Shahpur, Vejalpur, Dariapur, Gomtipur, Karanj, Khadia, Madhavpura, Amdupura and Saraspur police posts. It was also in force in Saherkotda and Charodia police post of Rakhiyal and Hardasnagar police post of Bapunagar and Ranip police post of Sabarmati police station areas. Night curfew was also continuing in parts of Mehsana district, in few areas in Himmatnagar in Sabarkantha district and in Kheda, police said.
Pillion riding is still banned in walled city areas, they said.
