An adaptation of the Dan Brown novel of the same name, the movie will see Hanks returning as symbologist Robert Langdon to solve another mystery.

Ben Foster is in negotiations to play a key villainous role in the Sony and Imagine Entertainment's latest Brown adaptation, said the Hollywood Reporter.

Foster will play a genius scientist who is obsessed with Inferno and has also dreamed up a plot to solve the world's overpopulation problem by releasing a virus.

Jones will play Dr Sienna Brooks, Irrfan Harry Sims 'The Provost', Sidse Babett Knudsen Dr Elizabeth Sinskey and Omar Sy as Christoph Bruder.
