The Warner Bros. Pictures' untitled drama revolves around the life of the pilot, who in 2009, landed his disabled jet on the Hudson River, saving the lives of 155 people on board, Deadline.com has reported.

Todd Komarnicki penned the screenplay, which was based on the book 'Highest Duty: My Search For What Really Matters', by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow.

The film will be produced by Eastwood and Tim Moore, for Malpaso; Frank Marshall (Kennedy/Marshall) and Allyn Stewart, for Flashlight Films, while Flashlight's Kipp Nelson and RatPac-Dune's Steven Mnuchin executive produce.

Sullenberger said in a statement that he was glad a gifted filmmaker like Eastwood was bringing his story to big screen, adding that with Warner Bros. Pictures, the project had found home in the hands of a dream team.
