"Both #ADHM and #Shivaay WILL NOT release in Pakistan... Fox Star and Reliance Ent confirmed to me... Should put an end to all speculations," Hindi movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Wednesday.

'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Shivaay' are all set to hit the silver screens on October 28 this year.

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer was earlier facing a huge backlash from some sections of Indian society for featuring Pakistani artistes.

The film's smooth release, on October 28, was ensured at a meeting of Film Producers' Guild, producers and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, mediated by the Maharashtra Chief Minister last week. A key demand conceded in the meeting was Rs 5 crore contribution from the film makers for the army welfare fund.

It all started after the September 18 Uri attack which killed 19 Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir. The attack was followed by surgical attacks that India conducted across the LoC.

The subsequent tension between India and Pakistan had a spillover effect on film industries on both sides of the border.
