Mumbai: Varun Dhawan, who won many hearts as lovable Humpty in Shashank Khaitan's "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhani", says the film changed his life.

The 28-year-old actor took to twitter to mark the one year anniversary of "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" and thanked the team for making the experience memorable. "#1YearOfHSKD has to be the film that actually changed my life. I'm lucky I got to work with such talented people and thank you @karanjohar," Varun wrote:


"#1YearOfHSKD thank you @ShashankKhaitan for working with me and teaching me so much and @aliaa08 you know why you're special thanks man," he added.
Alia Bhatt, who played Varun's love interest, Kavya, in the film also joined the Twitter celebration.


The 22-year-old "Highway" actress thanked the director for giving her Kavya. "Aaaah #1yearofHSKD alreadyyyy!!! Thank you Mr @ShashankKhaitan for creating Humpty and Kavya.. AND for giving me Samjhawan @Varun_dvn ;)," the 22-year-old actress wrote.


The film that released last year on July 11 marked the debut of director Shashank Khaitan.


Cherishing the success and the memories his of first directorial venture gave him, Khaitan tweeted, "Wow... 1 year already... Thank you @karanjohar @Varun_dvn @aliaa08 @ryanmstephen ... For the best memories of my life... @HSKDOfficial".


Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Production, "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" was a major box office success and the filmmaker too became the part of the joyous one year of the film.
