Los Angeles: 'Star Wars' icon Mark Hamill is reprising his role as Batman's arch-enemy the Joker in a new animated film.

The actor, 64, will give the villain a voice for the latest Killing Joke comic book adaptation, reported Variety.


Hamill, who is famous for playing Luke Skywalker in the 'Star Wars' films, previously played the part of the Joker in 'Batman: The Animated Series'.


His co-star Kevin Conroy will also return as Batman for the adaptation of the cult comic, written in the late 1980s by graphic novel legends Alan Moore and Brian Bolland.


'Twin Peaks' star Ray Wise has also signed on for the new "Batman" film, he will voice the role of Commissioner Gordon.
