Mumbai: Director Anurag Kashyap is proud of his role in "Akira" despite his initial reluctance to act.
Kashyap has done cameo in films such as "Dev D", "Luck By Chance", "I Am", "Trishna" and "Happy New Year" but the Sonakshi Sinha-starrer will see him doing full-fledged negative role.
Thanking AR Murugadoss and Sonakshi for the wonderful experience, he tweeted, "I am so proud of my work in #Akira even though I was reluctant to begin with .. Thank you @ARMurugadoss and @sonakshisinha."
Kashyap, 43, plays a police officer in the movie. He further praised the director, saying he will always cherish their friendship.
"Really you are an amazing person and so enthusiastic and childlike... I cherish this friendship @ARMurugadoss," Kashyap tweeted.
