According to a report in MissMalini.com, although 'Tamasha' happened to win critical acclaim, it couldn't turn out to be a top grosser. Thus, to make the movie more viable, Ranbir and Deepika have shown their generous sides by offering to return a hefty amount to the producers- UTV and Sajid Nadiadwala.

While Ranbir will be returning 10 crore, Padukone will be returning 5 crore.

Anurag Kashyap, too, will be returning the cost of production to producers for the failure of 'Bombay Velvet'.
