Los Angeles: Julia Roberts-Nicole Kidman starrer "Secret in Their Eyes" has pushed its release date by about a month and will now hit theatres on November 20.

The crime thriller, which also stars "12 Years a Slave" actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, will release a weekend prior to Thanksgiving, reported Entertainment Weekly.


The movie, directed by Billy Ray, best known for writing the screenplay of "The Hunger Games", is an adaptation of Juan Jose Campanella's 2009 Argentine crime thriller movie, which won the 2010 Academy Award for best foreign language film.


"Secret in Their Eyes" follows FBI investigator Ray (Ejiofor) and his partner Jess (Roberts) as they work with District Attorney Claire (Kidman) to uncover the person behind the murder of


Jess' teenage daughter, only to discover that the murderer is a protected witness in an ongoing terror investigation.


The film was originally scheduled to release on October 23.
