New Delhi: Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, who is riding high on her Hollywood success these days, has been slammed on the social media for producing sleazy content.  Yes, you read that right. The 33-year-old star's debut Bhojpuri production 'Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi' released last Friday and, sadly, people have tagged it 'cheap and vulgar'.

"At a time when my mother tongue Bhojpuri is fighting for its existence, Priyanka has not only defamed herself but also besmirched her Padma Shri award by producing a movie like this," National Award winning filmmaker Nitin N Chandraa told IndiaToday.

But, despite everything, PeeCee continues to defend her maiden Bhojpuri venture. She was quoted as saying by the media house, "Is Hindi devoid of vulgarity? "I am myself fond of such latke-jhatke (thrills and frills) in movies. I want the regional films to get a better platform."

The Dineshlal Niarahua and Amrapali Dubey starrer has now led to a strong online campaign against this movie.
