London: Students taking their music GCSE will have to study TheBeatles album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Clubs Band.'
This revamp in the GCSE comes after a major restructuring by the previous government, which had decided to make qualification examinations stricter, the BBC reported.
The exam board also added that performances could include everything from Luciano Pavarotti to Beyonce.
Melody, harmony, structure, rhythm and meaning are some of the areas that the students would be asked to analyze, while they are tested on understanding, performing and composing music.
