New Delhi: Bollywood singer Mika Singh, who is known as the hit machine of B-Town, revealed that he used to poke director Imtiaz Ali several times to get a song in any of his upcoming movie.

The 38-year-old singer finally bagged another song from Imtiaz's latest 'Tamasha' titled 'Heer Toh Badi Sad Hai' after his first Bollywood big hit 'Mauja Hi Mauja' from Imtiaz's 'Jab We Met' in 2007.


In an exclusive interview with ANI, Mika said, "I always used to poke Imtiaz to make me sing in his movie joking that he should sign him if he wants a hit song in his next movie."


"Imtiaz gave the biggest hit of my career from 'Jab We Met' but he did not call me for 'Rockstar' and 'Highway', however, he finally roped me in for ' Tamasha'," added Mika.


The Bollywood singer was recently in national capital to release his new single dedicated to all the mothers titled 'Maa'.


Mika also revealed that one thing which he learned from his late mother is to always help the needy and this is one thing which he still follows.
