The band has a full-length album and film titled "Let Me Get What I Want", mainly inspired by English rock band The Smiths, due for 2016 release, said The Hollywood Reporter.

"Daddy" comprises of the 37-year-old James Franco and multi-instrumentalist Tim O'Keefe.

|"We are really excited to partner with Kobalt on our upcoming "Daddy" album and film. They have the right forward-thinking approach to work with a project as unique as ours, where we see our work not only existing within the music realm, but extending into the film, art space and beyond on an independent basis," the duo said.

The inspiration for the project came from Franco's book "Directing Herbert White: Poems", which include two sections titled "Poems Inspired by Smiths' Songs".

The poems are loosely based on people, Franco met at Palo Alto High School.
