Islamabad, Mar 21: A day after Pakistan termed US led strikes against Iraq "deplorable", US President George W Bush today thanked Islamabad for its co-operation in the war against terror, saying the two countries ought to be proud of their efforts in this direction. "The dramatic successes that our co-operation has achieved against the international terrorism is a record of which we can be proud. We look forward to continuing these efforts, as we broaden and deepen our reinvigorated relationship," Bush said in a message sent to President Pervez Musharraf on the occasion of Pakistan Day. Stressing that Washington was committed to working with Pakistan "to build on the achievements of the past," Bush said "The United States greatly values its relationship with Pakistan and we will strive to continue strengthening the bonds between our peoples and government." Hoping that the coming year would bring "further opportunities to advance our mutual interests and strengthen the bonds of friendship between out nations," Bush extended his best wishes on the occasion of Pakistan Day, which is celebrated on March 23.
